1.Weak immunity

Weak immunity isn’t able to stop inflammation and infections in the body. Infants, kids, elderly, and people suffering from any type of inflammation or diagnosed with HIV/AIDS are more likely to have a weakened immune system and thus are more prone to candida.

2.Diabetes

People suffering from diabetes have the higher glucose level in the mouth and other mucous membranes than healthy people. Since sugar feeds and stimulates yeast growth, people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes have a higher risk of candida.

3.Birth control pills

Although birth control pills don’t directly cause candida, it can contribute to its growth if you consume a lot of refined sugars.

4.Antibiotics

Antibiotics are great at killing bacteria, but they destroy both bad and good ones. Combine antibiotics with birth control pills and a diet high in sugar and you risk developing candida overgrowth syndrome.

5.Corticosteroid inhalants

People suffering from asthma often use corticosteroid inhalers, which have been shown to stimulate the yeast infection growth in the mouth.
